// Season 30 — The journey

My story

From childhood to the summits — skiing as a life's passion.

« Perfect skiing is not achieved through force — it is taught through confidence, adaptation and absolute respect for the slope. »

I was born in Beaune, grew up in Strasbourg. Skiing? It started at 6 or 7 years old, at Montgenèvre. One or two weeks a year, like most kids. Except I never managed to shake it off.

At 16 I enrolled in a specialist vocational school to really work on my technique. I graduated at 22, and started chaining seasons together.

Japan, New Zealand, the United States — 8 seasons abroad to teach, discover other ways of skiing, other cultures, other students.

Today it's at Courchevel 1850, at the heart of Les 3 Vallées, that I work. Not because it's prestigious. Because the skiing here is the richest, most varied anywhere. And because I'm at home here.

« Skiing is not taught — it's shared. »
